This vintage 1968 laugh-out-loud classic is the very first program in the NFL Films' wildly popular "Follies" series.

François and Julie, together for 16 years and parents of two children, can no longer connect intimately. They decide to open up their relationship in order to engage in sexual follies that will allow them to learn more about themselves.

Released to theaters in 1974, this collection of vintage Columbia short subjects included: "Yes, We Have No Bonanza" with The Three Stooges; "Violent Is the Word for Curly" with The Three Stooges; "You Nazty Spy!" with The Three Stooges (replaced by "Men in Black" for the nontheatrical reissue); "Nothing But Pleasure" with Buster Keaton; "Strife of the Party" with Vera Vague; Chapter 1 of the 1943 "Batman" serial with Lewis Wilson and Douglas Croft; and "America Sings with Kate Smith."

The show centered on the idea of ghosts telling the stories of how they were murdered. Each episode featured a different story, but the ghost was always played by George Kelting, whose costume involved having his face painted white and a sheet wrapped around him. Due to the technical limitations of the time, the format was closer to that of a radio show, as the video footage only consisted of a continuous shot of Kelting's head and shoulders as he talked.

The film tries to persuade young viewers that they should only watch TV after having completed their duties; it shows them (and their parents) what the world would look like if everyone watched TV instead of working.
